CAPUCHINS’ RUN WALK FOR THE HUNGRY
FRIDAY July 24th, 2015
The 10th Annual Capuchins’ Run Walk for the Hungry to German Fest features a certified and chip timed/scored 5K run and a non-competitive 2 Mile walk. The separate courses will be along the lakefront. All proceeds feed Milwaukee’s hungry and are shared by Capuchin ministries, St. Ben’s Community Meal and House of Peace.
Registration and pre-event festivities will be taking place at German Fest’s South Gate. The $25 run and $20 walk registration fee (early bird pricing if registered by July 12) includes entrance into German Fest, a $5 German Fest food and drink gift coupon, and a 2-for-1 return coupon to German Fest. Overall trophies and age category medals will be presented to the runners. Bill Michaels, “the Big Unit,” will be hosting the event.

Registrations also taken on-site on race day.
No person should be hungry. People often associate the winter months as being a critical time for Milwaukee’s hunger needs. Actually those needs escalate during the summer months due to children being out of school and donors and volunteers who are on vacation. The Capuchins’ ministries experience the highest demand during the summer months. None are turned away from a Capuchin ministry who seeks emergency aid for food. The St. Ben’s Community Meal and House of Peace serve the poor, the hungry, the homeless.
