American Family Insurance Amphitheater

Celebrated in English and German, featuring a chorus of over 120 people and accompanied by The Freistadt Alte Kameraden Band.

 

Enter the grounds near the South Gate only (watch for signs), which opens at 9:30am.

Learn about German heritage by visiting the different areas portrayed by our participating societies with our “Passport to Culture” and win a small prize.  Listen to non-stop entertainment on the Musik Garten stage.  Marvel at the fine works of many craftsmen and enjoy the European Train Enthusiasts display.  More info can be found here.

 

 

German Fest Skyglider

Take a ride on the Skyglider, a true family favorite!  Located high above the main walkway, this gentle ride provides passengers with a scenic view of Henry Maier Festival Park, Lake Michigan and the entertainment below. One-way and round-trip fares available.

Join experienced tour guides Bob Giese and Mike Gehl on this 1.5 hour Historic Milwaukee, Inc. tour showcasing buildings that represent German-American business, education, faith, politics, entertainment, and publishing. This tour celebrates Milwaukee’s German heritage and recognizes the German community as having one of the greatest cultural impacts on our city.

 HARIBO® Sampling

Ready for yummy gummies? HARIBO® is celebrating family fun this year at German Fest! Throughout the weekend they will be handing out delicious HARIBO® GOLD-BEARS® right alongside the official Bear mascot! Swing by for some free HARIBO® GOLD-BEARS® gummies (located near the main gate), a big bear hug and an exclusive opportunity to take a photo with the HARIBO® Bear! Oh—and be sure to watch for the Bear in Saturday’s parade. Kids and grown-ups love it so, the happy world of HARIBO®!  Located near the main gate.

 

Mader’s Tower Gallery

Mader’s Tower Gallery features Pewter, Glass & Ceramic Steins from Germany as well as M.I. Hummel figurines.

 

Marktplatz

A German marketplace featuring many vendors of authentic German clothing, steins, nutcrackers, table linens, candies and more. Official German Fest T-shirts, gifts and other unique items are also available.

 

Music on the Move

Inflatable children’s activities located on the NORTH end of the grounds near the Skyglider and Konditorei.

 

 

 

 

 

Niche Schnapps’ Garten

Located just south of the Main Gate, the Niche Schnapps’ Garten serves some of Germany’s oldest and most renowned distillers of spirits for your sampling enjoyment and drinking pleasure.  Relax in the shade of the Niche Schnapps’ Garten!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Selfie Spots

We put the Germany in German Fest with these gigantic images located throughout the grounds.  When you come across a selfie spot, be sure to stop and snap a picture.  And if you share it on social media, tag us!

Join us for only $3 a round or $5 for 2 rounds – located inside the Culture Pavilion. Sign-up will start a half hour before play time, prepay and reserve your spot for any hour of play. Each round consists of 15 hands, and each round will begin at the middle of the hour.  More info can be found here.

Wine Tasting

Wein-Bauer, Inc. has been the official wine sponsor of German Fest for over 30 years. Each year Wein-Bauer looks forward to offering delicious Schlink Haus and Turn Me wines to the thousands of guests attending German Fest. 

Wine can be purchased on the festival grounds or also by the bottle for you to take with you as you leave German Fest.  Please stop by to try their many imported wines, liqueurs and champagne cocktails.
